POSITION: SNOW PLOW OPERATIONS AND FLEET MANAGER (1 Position Available)
We’re looking for a snow plow operations and fleet manager to add to our winter control crew. Responsibilities include maintaining the snow plow fleet (trucks, heavy equipment), quality control and upkeep of properties on non-plow days and some plowing of properties during snow storms.
TASKS
- Maintain plow trucks, sanders, skid steers, backhoes and loaders
- Record all fleet maintenance activities
- Create and implement fleet preventative maintenance schedule
- Safely operate all company equipment
- Regularly grease and fuel all equipment
- Plow and maintain commercial and residential properties
- Work with team regarding deficiencies or issues with locations, equipment or staffing
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Experience snow plowing an asset
- Mechanic experience considered an asset
- Experience with CAT equipment operation and maintenance
- Must have own transportation to and from head office
- Follow up with Operations Manager regarding deficiencies or issues with locations, equipment or staffing
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This job can be labour intensive at times
- Wage based on experience $18 - $25
- Must have own transportation to and from head office
- Minimum full G Driver’s license required
- Must be available for flexible hours of work – this position is on-call from November to April and can often include working through the night and/or on weekends/holidays depending on snow fall.
POSITION: LEAD SNOW SHOVELLER (2 Positions Available)
We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead our snow shovellers this winter!
TASKS
- Pick up and safely operate a company truck
- Complete snow plow logs, and pre-trip truck inspections
- Communicate effectively and concisely via phone, text & two way radios
- Manage routes and keep team on schedule
- Follow up with Operations Manager regarding deficiencies or issues with locations, equipment or staffing
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines at one time
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Possess strong communication, coordination and organizational skills
- Work collaboratively within a fast paced team environment
- Priority will be given to applicants with prior relevant experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This job can be labour intensive at times
- Wage based on experience $16 - $20
- Must have own transportation to and from head office
- Minimum full G Driver’s license required
- Must be available for flexible hours of work – this position is on-call from November to April and can often include working through the night and/or on weekends/holidays depending on snow fall.
POSITION: SNOW SHOVELLER (7 Positions Available)
We’re looking for snow shovellers to add to our winter control crew. Responsibilities include shoveling and salt application on pathways and sidewalks of residential and commercial properties.
TASKS
- Work safely and efficiently
- Conduct themselves in a professional and approachable manner
- Ability to be available for flexible hours of work
- This position is on-call from November to April
- Often includes working through the night or on weekends/holidays depending on snow fall
- Communicate effectively with team lead
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This job can be labour intensive at times
- Wage based on experience
- Ability to arrive on time at meeting location for all shifts (Division/401)
- Driver’s license is an asset
